I've got VMM 2012 SP1 installed on Server 2012.
I'd like to add a WSUS server to this so I can manage patching of my hosts.
I've setup a VM running Server 2012 and WSUS 4.0 (installed as a role), but each time I try and add this to VMM it fails with the following error
Error (24000) Error connecting to the WSUS server: WSUS-SERVER, Port: 8530. Detailed error: The request failed with HTTP status 407: Proxy Authentication Required. Recommended Action Ensure that the server connection information is valid. Then try the operation again.
I've followed the guide to a T and still no joy.
There are no proxies between VMM and WSUS.
I've installed the WSUS management console on the VMM server and can connection to the WSUS server via this console without issue....
VMM and WSUS both use proxies to get out to the internet using IWA. I've tried disabling this.. still no joy.
I binged about a bit and cannot find anything relating to WSUS, VMM and 407 erros
Can the WSUS server exist as a VM on a cluster being managed by VMM, and be added as an update server to said VMM?
